I'm contemplating if this should be merged with the other screenshots thread, with the standing convention that screenshots of any kind are permitted.

Can't hurt. I made this second thread beacuse the first one was somewhere on page three already and the graphic release seemed to warrant a new one.

Maybe if you merge it, you could sticky it as well?

I hate unlucky second wave spawns in Hell's Arena. I had around 75% health, was tired and had an unloaded shotgun in my hand... Note that this is right after the monsters spawned.


OK, no problem, I'll just hide around the corner before the demons wake up and cornershoot the bastards... oops:


In the end I escaped with 22% hp and one less medkit. Not bad. Then I stupidly let a baron to kill me =(


Edit: Damn, the very next run and the RNG puts me into a very similar situation (viz attached images), though much more manageable. I think I might have offended RNG somehow:

Hmmm ... Doesn't seem that nasty, you can still use melee or anything non-shotgun. If you move to the left one square, you can even use the shotgun on the top right commando, he wouldn't be knocked back.

That's what I tried, but I had no health items, which is why I tried the lever.

the outcome was toasty.

From an 0.9.9.6 AoMr run. I made it to the Mastermind shortly after, but forgot to use my nuke and got pwned. Awesome item placement!


0.9.9.7. Laser rifle and three power mods (the topmost one was blown up before I could reach it, though). RNG for ya.
