Anybody seen this one yet? Just accidentally ran across the trailer (I don't watch too many movies anymore), and it looks just cool enough for the movie not to be worth it...

OK, so you didn't. Let's steer this thread into another direction: post trailers to your favorite sci-fi-ish movies, works that line up with the spirit of Doom.

Oh yeah, Prometheus. I saw the trailer in 3D and it looked really great. It has the good old Alien feeling to it (I'm one of the few people who prefer the first Alien to Aliens).

I'm probably going to go see it (it's not in theatres here yet). I'll read some reviews first, but Ridley Scott knows how to make a great sci-fi. It's about time he got back to the genre.

Yeah I found out yesterday that it's actually only shown in 3D, which is a surefire way of losing my interest in no time at all... To me it sounds like "Hey we made a crappy movie, but let's distract you from this fact by having it seem like stuff comes flying out of the screen!"

No soup for me.

OK, I've seen it yesterday and... it's not good. I was looking forward to Ridley Scott returning to the sci-fi genre, since I consider Blade Runner one of the best movies ever, but this is just a mess. It's nice visually (as can be expected from an Alien-related movie) but the screenplay doesn't make much sense.

It's a shame. It has some potential, but that's not enough.
