"Marksman Angelic" : Win Angel of Marksmanship + Angel of Darkness on Nightmare! with 50+% kills


Extremely, immensely hard challenge on Phobos parts.
I took 40+ tries (including "Q-Y") and this time I had extremely lucky RNG, so I could make it.

Cateye tree is must, so Scout would be an obvious choice (so you CANNOT follow Gun Kata build)
The most frustrating part is to get Dualgunner.


Phobos Base Entry
You must get Intuition 2 first (you can get it on Phobos Base Entry), and the layout of Phobos 2 must be kind for you.

Phobos 2
Lure all of them into doors and kill them. For humanoids, use giftdropping.
For demons, use barrels to destroy their corpses.
MAKE USE of radar shooting via aimed shot.
After all, you would reach Level 3/60~80% exp. Go for SoG 1.


Hell's Arena
You can't go Phobos 3 now, you cannot kill hell knights easily with SoG1.
So enter Hell Arena first. This map is extremely hard too, so if you reach level 4, immediately run away.
Now you have Son of a gun lv2.

Phobos 3
I was lucky this time to get 2 berserk packs. Reach level 5 and get Dualgunner.
Things become a little bit easier.

Phobos 4
This time Demon+Lost soul cave is generated with water pool. With dualgunner, not much challenge.

Phobos 5
Wipe out enemies and enter Chained Court.

Chained Court
Pick everything and run. Ditch chainsaw.

Phobos 6
Wipe out enemies roughly, and go Phobos 7 without caring about corpses.
Barons would be pain in the ass. Destroy their corpse immediately by imp fireball or barrel explosion.

Phobos 7
Important point: After having Son of a gun 3, build Hellrunner 1 first (IMPORTANT!!).
If you find inv globe, go for Phobos Anomaly (I found an inv globe this time so immediately ran to Anomaly)
If you couldn't find inv globe and Military Base is generated, go and wipe out there.
If Phobos Lab is generated, just enter Anomaly.

Phobos Anomaly
The crucial part. Pick everything you need and leave wearing your red armor for later.
Just behind the point where ambush opens, shoot right door to destroy it, and make your status "running" and run.
You must need Hellrunner 1 + Scout Bonus + armor other than red armor to outrun those nightmare demons.
When running away from bruisers, do not stick on uppermost/lowermost wall, or you get splashed by acid burst (envirosuit packs might help here)

If you passed Phobos Anomaly, then you've surpassed over 80% of hurdle of this challenge.



Deimos 1
Wipe out the map and enter Hell's Armory/Deimos Lab.

Deimos Lab/Hell's Armory
Kill everything except opening switches. DO NOT open switches, it's not worth to do that.
You can't afford to build Whizkid in this run, so usage of mod packs would be limited.
This time I was so lucky to get a combat pistol here!

Deimos 2~7
Build Cateye build and Son of a gun 5, step by step. Don't be foolish to enter sub dungeons!
Also, note that with SoG3+SoB2, your pistols begin to knockback weaker enemies.
You must have around 5 large medpacks before entering Tower of Babel.

Tower of Babel
Since you have no Dodgemaster, Cybie would be somewhat tough.
Keep "running" for most of times and burn your medpacks when you're needed.

Hell 1~7
After you had SoG 5 + SoB 3, skip everything.
I found Grammaton Cleric Beretta on Hell 4, but it was not helpful because it appeared too late.

Dis
With decent weapons, Spider Mastermind is really a pushover.
It will continuously flinches and could not even harm you.

Whoa, you're catching up to me!  :o  I'd better get some more Angelic badges if I want to stay ahead.  :)

Nice win there!  :)  This is a badge that I have yet to collect.  Personally, I've been trying to get Dual-Gunner before Intuition because I don't want to have to fight too many enemies with an unupgraded pistol, but hey, whatever works for you.  :)

Interesting that you advised against sticking to the walls in Phobos Anomaly; in my recent  Archangel of Pacism game, I found that to be the best way to get through; trying to get through the middle too often got me knocked back, but hugging the walls meant that if they hit me, they would only knock me into the wall, so I could keep running forward.  (It also meant that only one could attack me at a time)  EDIT:  Of course, in the final recorded game, I think I ended up going through the middle anyway, but the principle is sound.  :)

Interesting to see this cracked!
This one has been the next on my 'to do list' for ages now. I've been playing too many other games, I'll have to come back at some point, I particularly regarded this challenge as one that was easily within my 'casual' reach (meaning I'd have fun and not tear all my hair out getting it!).
