Doing pretty well in AoMC at UV. Next time I'll replace HR with Rel, so I can have shottyman by City of Skulls.
Death was because I looked on the wiki, saw skulls had 10HP, arena master staff did 10d1, so I figured it was a easy kill. Oops. So I took a medkit and tried again (basically my only option at that point.) Nope.

Need a better strategy against shambler, took a LOT of hits there.
Had fun blasting apart the wall with a napalm launcher. Archviles lost corpses to respawn and Hell knights died from lava. Envirosuit to escape. Unfortunately the backpack was destroyed.
I was planning on practicing that kite strategy with the Angel of death. Ripper's 0.5s attack would make that quite possible. That was the idea behind taking the HR trait. However if I found agility modpacks it wouldve been unneccessary and I wouldve thrown the combat knife a jillion times.

Nightmare demons in Phobos lab are scary. Took a few hits there too.

Yeah, the math is kinda against you here - the lost souls have an incredible fire resistance, even 3 shots wouldn't have been enough :0

I was planning on practicing that kite strategy with the Angel of death.

The art of having better move and attack speeds then AoD - allowing you to run from him, then letting him come into melee distance, striking him and disengaging before he can react. Rinse, repeat and, in time, you have a damageless AoD kill.
This strategy, combined with Scout, Fin2, HR2 and AoOC, is the (IMHO) quickest, if luck-dependent, way to grab Longinus Diamond.

Oof, looks like you found out the hard way that the staff does fire damage and Lost Souls have fire resistance!  :|  Personally, I never use the AMS, (except for its alternate purpose) not the least because it tires you out; being able to run is much more valuable than doing a small amount of (usually non-lethal) damage to surrounding enemies.  I think you would've been better off using the Tactical Shotgun, since you can clear groups of Lost Souls at a time, but even with that, the opening ambush of City of Skulls is a pain in the butt; it's hard to avoid getting a whole lot of damage there when all the Souls charge you at once.

I fail to see the kite ><

I was also unfamiliar with the term.

Basically, you're trailing your enemy behind you as if it's a kite.
