That's not a cacodemon, that's a pain elemental.

probably the same, but first shoot at captain to drop him, and rush to pain elemental instead, get double shotty if available, and shoot the hell out of demons. (Run, shoot captain, run leftwards past pain elemental, get double shotgun or shotgun, shoot at demons - will get any lost souls too)
