Okay, then, another difficulty boost: only weapons available are chaingun and rocket launcher.

Even easier with RL - in one rocket kill all demons and co, in one burst kill captain.

64%HP - should not allow Doomguy to live through RL blast. So, if he can run 4 squares off demons, then probably OK to blast them all at once, otherwise there's trouble. I'd say start running, shoot captain, select RL, step left, rocketjump (all demons will get hit for 18, you too but you'll fly off to the left and will get breathing room).

I did just it, using the rocketjump for the very first time, there was a baron-n-imps pack. So I died.

No, this is not an edited screenshot. You're not hallucinating, either. What that Berserker Armor is doing is totally normal. And the conditions to make it do that kind of stunt are quite simple.

My first encounter with the Cyberdemon after all my time playing DOOMRL and I get my ass kicked. :p At least I got to see him...and fight him and die like a man...thanks to the levels being rearranged. I usually died a bit before Cybie in the older versions, although I was gradually becoming more skilled over time if I do say so myself. I got farther down into the levels, but never quite deep enough to see him until now. We'll have to see whether I make it into Hell itself in this version like I did before, and if I'll proceed farther than I ever have before (which would mean fighting the Spider Mastermind, who was real tough even in the original DOOM...).

A few turns in the level.
Sometimes, if the RNG wants you to lose, YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE! I did think that I could make it (I had tactical boots + Duelist Armor), so I started running (With running mode on)...only to run into a former sergeant. While trying to blast the demons and the lost souls away, the sergeant blasted me in the back.
Oh, and FYI, AoP, so that Invulnera sphere would not have helped at all. Still, not a bad run for my first AoP attempt.
