but i'm gonna post it anyway:

what kind of beverage do you drink while enjoying a game of DoomRL?

i personally like to drink coffee (right after dinner) or cola (later in the evening).
But in the weekends it's usually beer. I'm always amazed by how much alchohol influences a roguelike game. I mean, it has nothing to do with reaction time, allthough it has got something to do with how easily you notice  enemies :)

edit: If you are below drinking age under the law of your country, do not drink beer or any other alcoholic beverage.. it damages your braincells and causes a lot of diseases. wait till you are of legal age so you can choose in what way you want to destroy your body like an adult ;)

Well, I don't play DoomRL much (^_^) but I can tell you what I drink when I code it -- Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. And then Magnesium :]. As for alcohol I usualy drink it when 1) DoomRL get's recognised somewhere important, 2) A new version is out.

I will just broaden that question to cover computing.

Iced Drinks.

Most often it is a beer mug full of water, With 1/4 of a lemon in it and a handful of ice from the 5KG bag in the big freezer in the garage..

Other times its Orange Juice..With ice.

Then there is the juice from 2-3 grapefruits from the tree outside (Season ended a few months ago. No more grapefruit for Ryan *sadface*) with a teaspoon or two of sugar..And ice. (Sugar optional.)

Oh, And when I can get it there is coke. With ice.

And Kornel, How does one drink Magnesium?

Nothing.
Levels loads so fast. I do not have enough time to go to the kitchen for a drink.

Anticheese:
I would be worried if you could dash to the kitchen and back before RNG does his work
