Bug - Rapid weapons [FIXED]

DoomRL version: win 0.9.8
Platform: windows 98se
I've been testing the rapid pistol and rapid chaingun (didn't find any other types yet).
The rapid pistol seems to shoot in exactly the same amount of turns as the normal pistol (10 turns).
The rapid chaingun doubles the amount of turns needed for shooting! (20 turns)
This isn't exactly the behaviour i was expecting, so i suspect this is a bug. Or is it a feature? ;-P

I rarely encounter these special weapons and since I don't use pistol and chaingun, I couldn't fall on this glitch. However if what you say is true then it got to be fixed :P

you really never use a chaingun? i rely a lot on it.. tried only shotgunning till i got a rocketlauncher, but that just takes much longer, unless you close in, which means you take much more damage.

Im a fan of shotgun like weapon. I dont know, using chaingun or plasma rifle doesn't give the feeling of power (even if they are powerfull).
And its a big weakness, since shotgun are awfull against meaner foes, except for the double shotgun and this is the rarest weapon ever (and my favorite too... what a shame!) and since I do not pick traits for the chaingun or plasma rifle, using these get kinda pointless, so I start using rocket a lot and I tend up dying a lot, since its my only weapon against those god damn baron.
And god can tell you what happened when I first saw an arachnotron :P
