Weaken the rocket launcher

Could you reduce the damage of the rocket launcher from 4d4 to 2d8?
Only one point, but it seems like 'mooks' like former humans and imps don't survive it enough.

Should they? Rockets were doing a good job of clearing small areas from minor monsters in Doom 1.

Uh? The rockets damage are fine actually. I don't want the risk of using them to become even more useless.

The rocket launcher's fine. I proved in the wiki that pistols do more damage per turn than rocket launchers. In fact, with only one target, it's the worst gun. Of course, that's why you only use it when there's 3 or more enemies.

I disagree with Thomas when he says it's the worst gun for single targets (i dare you to try facing the Wall using a pistol every time you see only a single enemy (yes, after making a gap in the wall with rockets)).
I do agree that the damage the rocketlauncher does is just fine now.. in fact the 10 average damage per shot (and even more so the 4 minimal damage) it does now can be vital in early hell levels.
Nerfing it would make me ignore rocketluanchers after the wall (or when i'm sure the wall won't come anymore) as that would be the only place that justifies their use.
