I got inspired by Khashishi's post and gave Angel of Pacifism a couple more tries. It's not as difficult as I first thought, but a bit of luck is definitely required. On one game a Baron trapped me in a hallway and refused to shoot! He just walked all the way to the end and then killed me with melee attacks. :(
My approach to victory was a bit different, I maxed Hellrunner first then went for max Intuition before any other defensive traits. It was very helpful to see the enemy locations, I was able to clear an entire cave level of Arachnotrons by maneuvering them into the lava out of view. :)
