Almost got killed by several Archviles (I don't know how much are there) and their comrades near the end, despite the use of BFG 9000. Tried to run to the stairs but it didn't work. Luckily a phase device teleported me to the empty exit room so it is not a silly death.
Ended up losing lots of power cells and medkits, but still barely able to kill the boss. And arachnotron is much more easier than I think as a single 10-cell plasma fire is able to kill some of them outright.
