DoomRL in Computer Games Magazine

Hello all!
I mailed both the author of the article and the editor at Computer Games magazine about DoomRL mentions in the mag. I was plesantly surprised by the quick reaction -- I got two digitilized versions of the DoomRL mentions in my mailbox within an hour! Moreover I got a kind permission to share them with you guys :-D. So here they are:

Seems like a shotgun was dropped on another side of wall on the first level. But how did he got a chainsaw before encountering a seregant? None was spawned, or was he running away from each one?
