After months of inactivity...
« on: November 30, 2008, 15:40 »

...I found this game laying somewhere in between my files and thought 'Crap, I totally forgot'
So I'm the guy that suggested a few things and got a few bugs fixed. Running, dual wielding, tactics I believe and some more things.
Yeah, like none of you ever suggested that, but still, I had a few bright ideas.

Now, what I found shocking is that the last update is from... what, 10 april?
What happened? Where can I read this stuff?

On to yet another question
I just played through the game about 7 times in a row without dieing or saving on challenges marksman, berserk,  TYTD, NTR and HMP <3 times>
Yet still, UV nor N! are unlocked.
Or, any of the other challenges for that fact...

What's up with that?

... and I think I can't see every forum board on here for god knows what reason
...

Well, I got a full-time job right now and plenty other worries, so work is moving very slow... As for the UV and N! requirements someone else will answer, I don't remember. Just check that your player.dat get's properly updated ( look if the number of wins counts ).

As for the boards in the forum, there's the Beta Test and Tavern of Chaos boards that are visible only to Supporters and Staff.

Uh, how do I check that? All I see is a big fat failed to load in Notepad ++ or any other program, it's scrambled and unreadable.

You can select "Show player" in main game menu.

Son of a b-...

It says I only won once on hmp and it hasn't even recorded me finishing AoB or AoM at all!

It did record 1731 kills and I wonder if that's possible... -IN ONE PLAY THROUGH-

Oh and am I the only one that thinks that those full wins are bullsh* from what it says you need a 100 % score but half the enemies are unreachable in, for example, AoB and the likes where you need a rocket launcher or there just ain't no freakin' teleporters.

Try to delete your player.dat, and the game will start a new one. You have not so much to loose now.)

Full wins are not about getting 100% killcount. And 100% killcount is achievable and very possible, just don't go to the special levels, that you cannot clear. Ordinary levels are all clearable.

Not really, XP SP3

I got a comp with Vista and I tried it with that and the same thing happened.

Maybe it's because I quit using the X instead of quit game in menu?

Edit:
Got it to work, but this time I nuked the install completely

So far I got only one weird crash bug, inventory crashed if nothing was in it, opened it and then picked something else up and opened it again.
Meh.

Edit 2:
Nope scratch that, yet again it dropped AoB completion

Is it me or does this only happen when you actually 100% COMPLETE the challenges on the lower ranks <get lvl 5 etc> ?

Viewing empty inventory is a known and fixed bug, so no alarm ;)

*Growls* There, I rushed AoB and died on purpose on level 9 so now I finally freaking got the next rank >.>

*Edit*

*Scribbles 'AoB on UV' onto his 'do not to do this' list*
Yeaaaah... apparently hauling ass doesn't work to great when you got about 20 chainguns up your beeee-hind.

That's probably the problem... or a part of it at least.

That is entirely the problem. There's been a good half dozen topics about this, I made one. >_>
The game flushes save data to file on proper close.
