First, gotta say this is a great game. Have been playing this for few weeks now. Have won the game twice (both AoMr). Now I've been playing quite a few games of AoI. Made it maybe 3 times to the last 5 hell levels before this. Now it went pretty smoothly except I didn't get much armor, as usual for my AoI runs (last run I died on phobos base 21 without finding even a single red armor). Two reds and phaseshift to be precise and a few blue ones.
So, I went to kill Cybie with the phaseshift armor with ~70% and one red with maybe 40%. Ammo was also bit of a problem. Phobos 24 had Arachnotrons on a caves? level. Had to use my last rockets and fire couple bfg shots to get to the stairs. So I went to try to kill Cybie with few bullets without much thinking. Just loaded my bfg full and had enough cells to load one shot more into it. Arena went smoothly and I got cybie next to almost dead with bfg. Then came the problems. First I tried to shoot once with bfg without it having enough cells (38 dammit!). Then I swapped to chaingun (why this and why not plasma rifle no one knows?) and got him to almost dead. Then I got two volleys of bullets thru and got killed soon after.
Had I been thinking a bit more I would have got him. Without the one shot the bfg didn't fire or with me thinking more and using plasma rifle instead of chaingun AoI would be won now!
Oh well, gotta play some more. :)
