The Wall suggestion

I have a suggestion for The Wall.

Some shiftable barrels on the far right (stairs) side.

More characters can attempt it now, since you'd no longer need a rocket launcher, which I usually don't find in time for The Wall. This also allows weapon-limiting challenges, like AoMr and AoB to try as well (although you'd need a good stash of healing kits for AoB).

The only issue here I can see is that the player is no longer in danger of blowing up the goodies on the far left side with poorly aimed rockets. On the other hand, if you're not taking on The Wall with a rocket launcher, it's probably going to be a lot harder for you to win/survive anyway.

The whole point of The Wall is that you need to prepare for it beforehand... at least that's my opinion.

There's no preparing possible if no rocket launchers ever spawn. I always find plenty of rockets, just not the launcher.

edit: ah, I didn't notice that Hell's Arena spawns a rocket launcher on completion. Alright, my fault.

edit2: I also forgot one can use phase devices. Jeez, I'm super thick today.

I've seen a demo of a guy entering the Wall, using a phase to jump into the INNER room, taking the backpack, and phasing back to the stairs... and both were normal phase devices...

I'd only do that if I had a homing phase device, because it would be sort of terrible to be stuck in the inner room without having a way to get out.

i had no RL once, but invulnerability and a couple few phase devices, one homing. phased right into the middle of them and opened up with DS. it was like having six stars and god cheat on GTA.

I was mostly thinking for someone trying to do it on an AoMr run, but good point. >_>

What do you need to do it on AoMr for? If you have an ammo problem in that one, you're doing it wrong.

Maybe not on a start, but in low Hell levels (especially after doing special ones like The Lava Pits) I am running out of ammunition.

The Wall spawns Rockets only. No AoMr-compatible clips. It's useless to do it short of getting EXP in AoMr.

The reason The Wall is related to ammo problems is the backpack.

Mrazerty: if you're running out of ammunition in AoMr, you're doing it wrong. I've run out of ammo myself before, it does happen. It happened because I did it wrong.

Mrazerty: if you're running out of ammunition in AoMr, you're doing it wrong.
Seriously, this shouldn't be hard to get. The majority of the specials hold no benefit for a Marksman run. The ones that do have plenty of pistol ammo to pick up when they're finished. If you want to do them just for fun/XP, pack another stack. It takes fifty shots to get through a stack, you can't be that tight unless you have no Eagle Eye, in which case you're doing it even more wrong than I thought.

I figured as much, but the only one you really need for that is HA. The others are less likely to have anything decent for entirely too much risk.

1) I once cleared the Wall on AoB with Inv. globe. It was rather easy - knights get close to me and got killed by themselves and the rest were killed by my chainsaw, but way out wasn't possible. It's possible to make them attack the Wall and kill it by standing near it (I tried with cheating - really possible) but it would kill you many times. You need full backpack of large meds to survive THAT.
2)Not knowing what to do with that wall I onceteleported there with double shotgun. Cleared it easily. On AoMr I also tried to clean it. I did. But the idea of implementing barrels would be nice because I've got stuck there once with 1 phase device.(I was savescumming to try to go there).
So, the idea is nice, but Phasers do it. The prblem is like the Roc.Lan. - it doesn't spawn!
