Don't carry so much armor soldier. 2 'Blue Armor [2/2] (100%)' or a 'Red Armor [4/4] (100%)' and a 'Blue Armor [2/2] (100%)' should be enough to last for some time.
If you can't find them at 100% the get them as close to 100% as you can, and don't forget about the Armor Shards, those will help quite a bit grab any you find before leaving the level if not before.
One final note: When you find a spare suit of armor that is in better condition as what you have in stock and is of the same color or higher, then switch them out.
