Such things should be configurable, and should be there only when you want a different game, having fun with different stuff. That would suit in there perfectly, even if its "unfair" or not balanced.

Exactly, like, maybe doomRL .9.9 will have a start menu, with options, and perhaps a mod menu, with various mods and bonus's and stuff?
