How do I use the run command?

Geothermal:
It says you can run using ',', but it doesn't seem to do anything when I press it and then press a direction. How does this work?

It doesn't AFAIK. That thing is just a lost tentacle.

well, it works for me.. but you stop running when you're next to an item or corpse or anything that's not an empty tile really.

Also, on the 1st level, you may not be able to run outside because it doesn't let you run on the red phobos surface
