Change the color of the double shotgun!
« on: July 24, 2009, 12:21 »

It blends in with Pistols way too easily. How about orange?

You're complaining about the double shotgun looking like pistols, but shotguns and pistols look completely different to you?

Not all shotguns -- the double shotgun. When it's lying on the ground it's pure white, but the pistol is almost white too... it's a very light gray, which is extremely confusing when you're specifically searching for the double shotgun.

An orange-ish brown color (to represent the classic polished wooden stock) would make perfect sense. The combat shotgun is bright blue, and 99.9% of all combat shotguns have a black finish, I've never seen a blue combat shotgun, so why can't the double shotgun be a wooden color?

Here is an unmodified zoomed in comparison of the pistol and the double shotgun:

Adjust console color settings to make lightgray darker.

Ah! I'll try that, thank you.

EDIT: When I change the color of Screen Text, it works until I move and then the pistols reset to their normal color, the text at the top and bottom however does not.

Here's the thing. In GNOME's terminal, double shotguns are bold white, shotguns bold grey. Therefore, Linux wins yet again. :P

Edit: Looked at the Windows terminal screenshot. Jeez, that's an ugly terminal! D:

Listen: being a Linux fanboy is like being gay - you REALLY don't have to show it off all the time for us to get the point.

I think that weapons should use different characters. There are not enough colors to make difference between all of them at first glance, a yellow } could be anything.

Quite minor though.
