I just recently beat this game on easy, and I'm pretty proud of myself.
I really like going the way of the shotgun, but I'll try other builds in the future I guess.

To get into the vaults, as has been stated many times before:
Spoiler (click to show/hide) On the leftmost vault, rocket the South-Eastern wall in different spots. On the rightmost vault, rocket the Western wall in different spots. To get into the middle, you need to get lucky with a Phase and have another to get out...as far as we know
