'Oh, come on, Doc, it really wont hurt you fragile legs if you move them a bit more' Shioban smirked in response.

'You crushed my ego, Doc. But hey, since Chinese soldiers once scared the shit out of you when you saw their figurines on tactical map, while grunts like me was doing the shooting, I think that you could not kick anybody in vicinity of the front line, since you were too scared. So my ego remain intact.

"What ever ya say, sleepless one."
This time, Doc was grinning.

Shioban spat angrily, but spoke no more.

"Hey, where are you headed?"  the disembodied voice once again came through the speakers.  "I could look at the cameras along where you're going to give you some idea about what's ahead.  But remember, they don't show everything."

You made your way back to the tower's main stairwell, opting for it over the elevators, and eventually made your way up to the floor where the connector bridge to Storage was. With some guidance from your new contact, you were able to avoid or wait out the occasional small pack of the alien creatures roaming erratically around the facility, as well as get around any locked down doors.

Of course, once you reached the storage tower, a slightly different problem arose. Namely, while the tower was essentially a huge warehouse, it didn't have a big glowing arrow saying "food here." Just letters and numbers marking out specific sections, but not giving any hints at the contents. And there was the problem of the section doors being locked down, with the PDA in your possession not having the necessary clearance to open them.

At least the tower seemed quiet and safe enough...

- Just splendid... Let's see if our disembodied voice can help us here - Hagazi looked around in hopes of finding PA terminal to consult Mr. Johnson.

"Hey, I'm not sure what you're looking for but the manager's room is three doors down, in the middle of this level.  The manager kept a list of where most of the things are around this place and also had the relevant access keys; that might help you find what you need."

Shioban smiled ironically.
'That might help? Master of understatement.

She then adjusted the strap of her backpack, muttering 'Anyway, let's go.'

Finding the manager's office was a simple enough task. In fact, with the corridor you were in heading directly to the center of the tower with no twists or turns, it was well in view in no time at all. It wasn't anything fancy, admittedly - a simple booth tucked in between the six elevator shafts on either side of it, with stairwells behind it leading up and down. The front of the office had a big, clear window with a small port for exchanging items at the bottom, as well as a mic/speaker at about face-level. The lights inside the office were off, but with the light from the central chamber filtering in, you could make out two desks, one with a computer terminal sitting on it, as well as a bunch of file lockers, a water cooler and a vending machine. To the right of the window was a simple sliding door with a panel next to it.

There was just the one catch. The door panel looked like a security card reader.

Shioban sighed, kicked the door, sighed again, and then crouched next to the panel, placing her toolkit on her side.
'I once had some experience with electronics, so maybe I will be able to open' she muttered. 'And, really, I was never very good at it, so please, watch my back and do not disturb.'

"Oh yeah. This is why you took a nap while I was messing around with the generator, aye ?", sighed Vince, silently, barely to be heard.
Then, he raised his shotgun and took a look around, covering Shioban.

Although opening the door panel was a slightly difficult task if one wanted to do it without messing up the components inside, it went along smoothly and within a few minutes Shioban could get down to work. It took the better part of an hour in trial and error, but eventually she managed to find the right wires and sockets, convince the panel that it had received the appropriate clearance, and cause the door to open with a faint hiss.

The office was now open.

Shioban packed the toolkit, and put it on her back again. She looked very, that is very smug.
'Hah... Like in Belfast, seven years ago' she muttered.
