Doc, being rather withdrawn and quiet the whole way through, doesn't say anything. He just prepares his shotgun and waits, looking at Hagezi with an unspoken question.

'Oh, bend over' muttered Shioban, reading her carbine 'here it comes again.'

- It had to happen sometime... Just take a good aim and start killing the bastards once you do. - Hagazi lifted his own rifle.

Bob too readied his own weapon - a compact body pistol, as it turned out. He seemed a bit put off by the prospect of having to fight the creatures directly, though.

"Not that I would wish to tell you how to do your jobs, but... when are you going to start shooting?" he asked, looking mainly at Hagazi and Shioban, seeing how they had the longer-range weapons. "Not to sound selfish, but I'd rather they didn't get close enough that I'd be able to use this effectively," he added, holding up the pistol by way of explanation.

The creatures on the other end of the connecting corridor were still a long, long way away... though judging by the movement, they were working eagerly to make up for that distance. And there seemed to be a lot of them.

Doc smiles madly, straps on his biker googles, and then... waits.
Waits until foul creatures shall be in range, then he fires a grenade at the pack of creatures.

'That's why' answered Shioban, grinnig.

The grenade flew in an arc towards the quickly advancing creatures... too high an arc, as it hit the passageway's ceiling half-way and only blew out a light fixture. Its intended targets didn't seem the least bit bothered, and thanks to your waiting for grenade launcher range, they were now some 250 metres away and not slowing down in the least. They were close enough for a rough count - the constant movement made it hard, but it looked like there were about 30 of the creatures, give or take.

"NOW can you start shooting?" Bob shouted, starting to back away from the corridor's opening.

Shioban sighs, but indeed picks a target and starts shooting at it methodically, with several single shots in sucession.

Doc steps back a few metres, loading another grenade. Then fires.

The doctor's launched grenade went over the heads of the creatures this time, exploding behind the rapidly advancing mob.

"You sure you should be using that thing? You'll blow up the bridge before you hit any of those things at this rate..." Bob muttered under his breath, standing safely behind the three soldiers.

Shioban and Hagazi at least demonstrated a bit more skill, their precise shots knocking down two of the creatures. It didn't exactly stop the mob, though - the corpses were simply trampled underneath as the beasts surged forward. They could certainly run fast if they wanted to...

Judging there's no time left to reload and fire the last grenade, Doc raises his shotgun to the eye and aims. When creatures will get into the weapon's range, he fires.
"Keep your mouth shut, mr know-it-all and give them some lead instead.", he drawled in response, pulling the trigger. The rosary rattled on trench gun's barrel.

'Could you please stop this idiot action hero chatter, Doc?' snarled Shioban, while taking aim at yet another creature, and then pulling the trigger repentantly.

"It's just that I do not like incompetent janitors advising me how to fight, please be understanding.", smirked Vince in response.

The "janitor" moved up to the firing line, training his handgun on the advancing mob, and opened fire with the others. It took perhaps a minute or so of sustained fire, but eventually the last of the creatures collapsed to the floor in a twitching heap. Of course, it was a bit hard to tell at this distance who scored how many kills. But at least the attack had been stopped, and with at least a good 150 metres left between you and the creatures.

"Well, that was refreshing..." Bob muttered under his breath, reloading his sidearm once again. It didn't seem like a working man's sidearm, though - non-metal frame, laser sight, sound baffle... the weapon was definitely a higher grade. The "janitor" didn't seem to make much of a big deal about it, though, and promptly holstered it again.
