Hey Kornel, I have a couple of questions about your involvement in DoomRL.

1)What gave you the idea for a Doom Roguelike?

2)Did you start development all by your self, or did you get it from someone else?

I just wanted to know.

1) a complete accident, I was doing a simple roguelike, and mailing about it with Ilya Bely, and we were also writing about Doom. Then suddenly came the idea (don't remember from whom exactly), "he he he it would be funny to make a roguelike Doom", we started ASCII picturing it, and I suddenly thought, why not?

2) all by myself, from ground up, with idea involvement of Ilya Bely
