Isn't the combat shotgun more effective at that? The DShotty has a big damage dropoff at distances. I only use it at very close enemies.

Stuff that I normally do:

- Shoot around cornes with the combat shotgun
- Shoot at unrevealed areas to find enemies
- Go for badass first, then shottyman, then MAD (I rarely survive long enough for MAD though)

In the end I think I'm just having bad luck with the RNG, but if there's something else I'm missing, I'd love to hear it.

No. You see, the DShotty has such an enormous spread, it always fires around corners. Right now, the CShotty is bugged, it can't fire around corners at specific angles.

What you do:

A) Plug in Headphones
B) Shoot DShotty around corner
C) If you hear pain sound, continue to spam DShotty.

Also, you should get SM first. Always.

Well, to be honest I never tried using the DShotty around corners before. I tried it just now, and you're right, it works great when the CShotty fails. Thanks for that.

Regarding traits, I went for SM at first but I was dying too much on early levels, so I started going for badass instead. I'll try using Deaver's build from now on and see how it goes.

Strafe and shoot around corners heaps. I have more deaths after MAD then earlygame.

According my build: if in the moment of choosing the third trait you have combat shotgun and you haven't double shotgun I advice you to choose second TaN instead of second Reloader, it's more useful because you don't need to reload so much. Badass is nothing on UV or N!.

Other tips: use running wisely, set your character so that you can shoot as many monsters you can in one shot. For hell knights and alike shooting from the corner is especially effective. If you are standing next to A or commandos remember to shoot at them so that they have a wall by their backs, else they will be pushed by the shots and then make a salad out of you with plasma. Watch out with shooting near barrels, you can hurt yourself or loose a globe \ item. Plan on N! or H, even if UV AoS isn't harder than N! it's definitely more boring.

Some offtopic: could someone remind me the name of the program recordng .dm2 movies from the game? Can't find it.
