Sound Error?
« on: May 09, 2006, 04:42 »

hi,
I've noticed that, though a lot of zombie/human enemy sounds are present in the /wav folder, the game only uses a couple of these. Also, some human enemies (chaingunners) seem to use the demon sounds.. ?!

I've tried re-installing, it didn't change anything.

I think these may be configured in the ini file, just as the background music?

Yes they are, There are many sounds in there, Ranging from pistol to the death throes of a cacodemon, But unfortunatly there is no way that one can add more sounds to the list - Only change them.

Kornel, Perhaps you might like to add a feature to the .ini file: Allow us to add secondary, tertiary, quadrupiary and so on sound effects to a certain event - So that we may modify our file to randomly produce one of five sound effects in a certain event?

Semi-Useless I know, But it would be pretty nifty.
