I cannot escape that level

Well, after lurking on the bug section of this forum, I haven't seen any bug of that kind...

I play last version of DoomRL : 0.9.9 on my Windows 2000 SP4 at work (yeah, I know... it's bad...) and I enjoy this game a lot !!!

But in a very very good run in Angel of Shotgunnery, I am stuck in the level 7 (cave level) with no stairs on the map...

As you can see below :

You sure you checked *every* single corner? For example, my guess would be the stairs are in that bottom-right corner over there, since there are 2 tiles that haven't been seen yet there. Perhaps it's in one of those really small corners?

That's the default command for southeast.

I have the diagonals set to -=][, because my laptop doesn't have a number pad and the default keys are in a non-intuitive position for diagonal movement.

I use the vikeys for movement on a laptop. hjkl are left, down, up, right, respectively, and yubn are the diagonals. It does require switching around some other keybindings, most notably u (i use 'a' for apply).

At first it might take some getting used to, but I've found that on a laptop i can use this just as fast as i can use the numpad on a normal keyboard.

Yeah, but escaping was not anything mentioned, and thats why I wanted to know why metroid mentioned it. Quite frankly, I'm more concerned about an unseen tile that must have, at one stage, been directly adjacent to floucrazykenny while he looked for stairs.

As for diagonal bindings, I use "Q", "W", "A", and "S".
