Gun Kata and beretta, some pistol thoughts

(1/3) > >>

Nap:
Either Gun Kata isn't functioning on summoned creatures and things you can't see, or it isn't triggering when you successfully kill something with the beretta on something other than single shot-which is weird, considering it DOES reload the gun regardless of what mode it is in.

Further: It seems like if you agility mod the main weapon (the one currently in your hand), it also makes your secondary pistol fire faster (because it shoots at the same time). This is also kind of strange.

ParaSait:
About the last paragraph: Doesn't that only *seem* so?
Steps != turns. A step consists of a variable amount of turns, depending on the total speed of all actions you do in it (that's why for example enemies might attack you multiple times when you reload you chaingun).

I'm gonna explain it with an example (with fictional values):
Say that pistol 1 and pistol 2 both fire with a speed of 1 turn when they're not modded, that makes 2 turns for a dual shot.
Now say that if you attach an agility mod to pistol 1, it fires with a speed of say 0.75 turns, making 1.75 turns for a dual shot.
Both pistols fire in the same actual step, so you might think the second fires 0.75 too making 1.50, although in reality it DID take 1.75 turns. It took both only 1 step, but steps aren't a realistic representation of time.

Is that theory correct..?

Ruldra:
Agility mods increase accuracy. The one that reduces firing time is technical mod (lol nitpicking).

The fire time for dualshot doesn't add up. If both pistols are unmodded, they take 1 second per dualshot (disregarding traits). If you mod one pistol with technical mod, that time is slighty reduced (like, 0,7 secs per dualshot). If both pistols are modded, the time is reduced even further (around 0,56 secs per dualshot).

You can confirm that by checking the character info screen in the game (@ button).

Heh oops. Gosh I can't get used to this new mod system :p

ZZ:
When you have T1 and 0 pistol you will have (in math opinion): 0,648 second. And 10 turns = 1 second if somebody don't know.
