YEEHAWWW!
So I looked at the list of available challenges, thinking to myself "Which one should be the one to get me to Sergeant Major?" and I chose Angel of Haste, looked easy enough.
It wasn't, I died twice. Very stupidly at that, but third tries the charm, and I nuke the HELL out of the Cyberdemon, killing myself in the process.

Is he immortal? 9 souls claim to have killed him...
5 killed the bastard and survived.
4 showed that it can outsmart hell itself.

There's apparently only 12 levels, but the difficulty escalates crazy fast, which my two deaths taught me. So, to compensate, I found I needed to meticulously kill every enemy for exp and collect any and every item that may have an foreseeable use.
I arrived at Cybie somewhat weaker than I'm used to, and felt a bit unconfident in my combat abilities. Fortunately for me though, I had a best friend, a friend named THERMONUCLEAR BOMB!
I don't know what it is, but there's is something INNATELY HILARIOUS with hugging a thermonuclear bomb as it explodes and completely atomizes you and your enemies. This is the first time I've sacrificed my life to kill Cybie, and it felt oh-so-good. I like to imagine my character with a lit cigar and a giant grin as that bomb hits zero.
What's also funny, is that once I saw my score in the scoreboard, this game had the lowest score of all my games. Though I like the little message "Won by sacrifice", it pleases me greatly.
Now I'm of the Sergeant Major rank, and I have everything in the game unlocked. What next? Probably Ao100.
