This was my first "official" time beating Angel of Pacifism (even though it's on a beta version), though the day before this, I actually managed to nuke Cybie, but WITH invulnerability on. So when I then died to JC, the game didn't count that as beating AoPc.

Luck is a huge factor in succeeding in AoPc, and I had lots of it in this game. I managed to spawn very close to the stairs in the first few levels, then got lucky with invulnerabilities and supercharges later on. It makes life a lot easier to be able to be able to reach Dodgemaster, then a couple levels of TaN. When I saw the Mortuary stairs, I initially walked past, hoping to find the normal stairs, then turned a corner to find an arch-vile and his gang of mancubi. So, I decided to take my chances with the Mortuary even without a homing phase device. It wasn't so bad with running and using a couple of large health packs.

Level 24 got me worried for a bit. It was one of those "lots of little rooms stuck together" maps, and I was being stalked by a couple of mancubi and arch-viles near the center of the map. I managed to circle my way around the edges of the map, and thankfully found the stairs to Cybie.

So, it was exciting to finally beat AoPc after having to look at dozens of "My, was he a wimpy chump" mortems. Getting those two medals was a nice bonus, too. I think that the little dance I did in my chair to the victory music was well-earned.

Nice win!  One thing that I found out while playing AoPc is that sometimes, taking off the armour to gain that extra speed boost is very beneficial.  Or rather, the use of non-Bulk modded armour can be really good for health, since you do not suffer from a speed penalty.  For that reason, I actually like blue armours over red ones, and unmodded too, because of the lesser speed penalty.  I got lucky in my run with the Onyx Armour Pack, which gave indestructibility to my blue armour.
