Melee is really powerful if you invest in it. I originally chose it to conserve ammo, but found that once berserking I could pretty much just run headlong into those horrible piles of Revenants/Mancubi/whatever with Archviles and tear them to pieces. Closest I came to dying was holding down the left arrow in the Lava Pits... that would've been embarrassing. The Mortuary also had a few exciting moments, what with the Hell Staff teleporting me right in view of a huge mass of monsters when I was shooting for the corner. Fun game!
I actually managed to complete AoB on HMP just some hours later, I'll put it in the Berserker Lounge. Probably time to move on to Ultra-Violence...
