The guard let out a brief cry as he was hit, collapsing to the floor in a heap, and promptly stopped moving entirely.

Gargulec:
Viggo leapt back to the cover. Then, he quickly tried to unjam his rather not trusty weapon.

thelaptop:
'Godamnit,' Roshal thought to himself.  'Forget about the rear... they are taking too long with the vanguard.'

Roshal sneaks off to the open door where the rest of his party had been congregating, his pistol on the ready, taking cover along the way and hiding behind the frame of the door.

Viggo cleared his weapon jam easily...

...and for now, the room was quiet. Other than the whirring of the camera on the far side of the room and the sparking, smoking servomech closer to the door, there wasn't a whole lot going on in there now.
