Trying to shoot the Nuclear BFG 9000 on the Mortuary after clearing the level caused it to explode harmlessly in my face instead of shooting a projectile. It worked fine against enemies in sight, but I didn't think to try it out against enemies out of LoS.

Update: even if there are enemies on the level, the projectile still explodes on top of you unless you're looking at somebody.

I noticed that it doesn't give a "Find a more constructive way to commit suicide" message for the NBFG, I just assumed that was a feature. It doesn't damage you, so it kinda made sense at the time. You can shoot it anywhere in LOS, and it explodes outwards like BFG, plus gibs corpses. Really handy on N! I would say.
Anyway, I think the firing at yourself is a feature, but let's wait for the verdict.
