 Before him 346 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:

That was a close one. I wasn't planning on Hell's Arena, but when I got a berserk pack, noticed the stairs shortly after, followed by seeing another berserk, I had to go for it. The strategy was pretty much run in circles trying to kill as fast as possible. With a little luck and a berserk from an attack, I made it through the first two waves still berserking. I just needed to find and kill the barons quickly. One was close by, was able to get next to him before he moved. One down, looking for the other my berserk runs up. Well, I had to try and I still had two large medpacks. I run over and attack until I'm almost dead, use a pack and repeat. With my inventory empty the baron is wailing on me. I look down and see that I'm at 4% and the baron is almost dead. The last swing I had killed him and it apparently had been quick enough that nothing else raised. I grabbed a large healing and the two large health packs and just ran. Then died a level or two later, such is life.

I'm glad to cross this badge off the list.

Man, that's awesome.  And no Cleaver, either!  Even with berserk, I'm amazed you cleaned that up with a combat knife only.

Could just be me, but after I finished Hell's Arena on N! I found that I could walk around freely without anything respawning.  At the very least, nothing spawned in the time it took me to move around the whole arena once or twice to collect everything.

I know I've only played MVa for AoB runs, but how do the two melee builds compare on N!?  MVa sounds almost absolutely necessary for surviving early on, but MBm sounds almost absolutely necessary for surviving later.  Since Dodgemaster isn't contained in MBm, either (which is mostly useless until you're not fighting battles anymore) it sounds like you're relying on berserking in that kind of build, while MVa is to push through early and then avoid, avoid, avoid until AoD and Cybie.

I haven't a clue either way, all I know was that after actually finishing it, I wanted out as fast as possible so I got credit for it.

I actually like to kill as much as I can with MVa. The more swings I take the more of a chance that I'll berserk, and berserking keeps you alive in N!. Plus the required levels of TaN help. I've never actually used MBm, so I don't really know what a good strategy is for it.

Combine it with one of the two heavy hitting weapons, so you can run around massacring everything, with little retaliation.
