Original plan; ZERK ZERK ZERK! However for some reason the Cathedral doesn't provide the protection in zerking anymore. When I got my Zerking going on.. I noticed that the AoD is hitting 30%! Something was wrong so I retreated and went on with my backup plan, the lava swim.

He was almost dead but then he got the last hit on me.

And now you wonder why I did this on a regular play through? I was going for UV Conquer badge. But eh, no luck this time. D:

I really think trait zerk is buggy: My AoB a while back (0.9.9.1) went without a hitch against AoD, barely took any damage from the guy.  He must have hit me at least seven or eight times, too.

In any case, best of luck to you on UV Conqueror, looks like you were doing really well up to that point, what with the three phases and a homing.

OH man! AoD takes damage from lava? I never knew that! I thought he could only be damaged by melee, I never once considered a 'lava swim' strategy! I'm gonna have to remember this when I see the cathedral and I have a spare envirosuit.

Yes, zerk is buggy, and AoD takes damage from lava. Funny enough, Blade once killed AoD (in the times of very old versions) by hitting him once with the fist, causing bleeding and then running until the bastard bled to death.
