Badges Guide
Game Hunter:
Welcome to the Badges Guide thread! This is where I post the latest version of my guide (currently v2.1) so that players can understand the various underpinnings of the many, many badges that exist in DoomRL. Beginners and veterans alike may realize a thing or two after looking through it (and it is quite a read), so if you're having any trouble with badges at all, take a look.
If you find that some of the information is lacking or inaccurate, please post in the thread and let me know what the issue is. I'll be happy to make any corrections and attribute those who point them out.

Simply put, this is to be a guide on how to complete badges. So far I've only gone through the Bronze badges, but I plan to explain all the Silvers, nearly all of the Golds, and a significant portion of the Platinum badges. As for the rest, that's where everyone else comes in: if you've completed any of the badges that are particularly difficult (mostly anything Platinum+, but there are some unusually challenging Golds), reflect on the run and explain (with a reply) a recommended trait build, special strategies used, and comments on approaching the badge in general. You can use my Objectives/Comments format if you want to; either way I'll be sure to add your contribution and cite it.
And, naturally, please give me any suggestions or criticisms to the badges I've currently "completed". Since these are Bronze, I doubt I'm all that off on the easiest way to approach it...keep in mind that the suggestions for each badge are ONLY meant for the purpose of completing the badge, not for any higher-tier badges (such as a successful Marksman Silver get automatically giving you Marksman Bronze in the process). The idea is that a player can decide for a particular badge and find out exactly what he or she should do to attain it.

That's basically how I, as a Dutch speaker, would phonetically pronounce that name. :P
