Renaming former humans

Okay, those former humans give me a headache, for their names are too long. Would anyone object to the following renaming?:

former human - stays the same
former human seregant => former seregant
former human captain => former captain
former human commander => former commander

Well? Would that take away some doom-feel?

I think the name change would be acceptable, as the original names were "Zombieman" "Shotgun guy" and "Heavy weapons dude", you could change it to those, it'd be no skin off my back

Yes, Those are the original doom names, but I reckon that Kornel's new suggestions are less kiddy and add to the serious doom feel of the game.

Sure, sure, i was just saying he could use the old ones, he could use new ones, he could use the same, it dosent really change the functionality of the game.

Ah, but you're slightly wronge there. When fighting a fhs with a chaingun, I have to press space twice, just for my shots to finish shooting. That's annoying!

I am for using the names from original Doom. BTW it's "sergeant" not "seregant". I have no idea for a Doomlike name for the commander.

As much as I hate to break the classic doom feel, Doom 3 had former human commandos.

Admittedly they had tentacles and not many plasma rifles (they favoured chainguns), but the name "Commando" would suit things better than "Commander"

Think about it, Through demonic presence an entire base has been mass-corrupted into semi-mindless slaves to evil, Admittedly the commander is supposed to be intellegent but what is he going to lead? Zombies?

Commando suits it better, It signifies independance, efficiency and so on.

Alright, How about naming them Former Human, Sergent, Captain and Commando/er, and having the full names in the LOOK description next to the ASCII portrait?

They will. Ok, finally it will be:

former human - stays the same
former human seregant => former sergeant
former human captain => former captain
former human commander => former commando
