Alas, I have yet to attain Quartermaster Gold. Since the game difficulty is very different between Gold's N! and Plat's HNTR, they're technically different kinds of challenges. Frankly it shouldn't be too hard to get it, but I haven't had very good luck with most N! runs in general. The two Diamonds I've achieved are based on trait choices and so were just a matter of time before the run worked out. I can't imagine AoRA N! playing hugely different from most others except you really can just run for the stairs every single time. I might just level HR -> HR -> DM and take Iro until I hit Cybie, then wait to die. I'll let you know how it goes.
The Gold "I" don't understand is Lightfoot. AoLT, despite being a very easy challenge in comparison to other challenge, is by no means easier than the standard game. You're allowed a partial victory (which is what I suppose clinches the spot) but c'mon, carrying a nuke when you only have ten slots? That's gotta hurt enough to be problematic, not to mention that A2 Ammochain isn't easy to pull off in N!.
Tavana:
For the record Game Hunter: If you're not on a level when a Nuclear device goes off, you're not credited for the kills, unless there's been a game change that I've missed. So Mr PaleGhost's invulnerability is the only real way to use nukes to achieve 100% kills.
Game Hunter:
All I meant is that you could have your OWN nuke go off: it removes the trouble of playing keep-away with an invuln globe and the monsters. Spider's Lair quickly is doable with extreme BFG usage (there should be enough cells lying around at the end in spite of the enormous splashing to make up for it), and that guarantees you one while still netting 100%. I can't say I've ever tried that but I bet it would work. Sounds like a great way to get a full win, too (you should only need one nuke with the invuln for a guaranteed FW). I have no idea if a nuke appears on HF, but it should unless it's been specifically coded otherwise...which means it's the closest shot I can see for a N! full win.
But yes, I'll be sure to note that when I add it his comment to the guide. (Besides, if that WERE the case, then Quartermaster Plat/Diamond wouldn't exactly be difficult by any means.)
