The Master and the Minion - IC Thread
Gargulec:
The good humour seemingly vanished, as Tristan reluctantly lunged towards the rabble.
'We had to...' he shouted, raising his sword for blow '... we were left with no choice.'
He brought down the blade on of the veterans.
'And, no, I do not think that you would believe me...'

Madtrixr:
That paladin...sigh.Aden shakes his head and moves in to flank the soldier that Ryltar was assaulting and finish the poor bastard off. Aden had heard from Norian that paladins had certain...personality quirks, and it looks like he was right.
While Aden didn't feel right doing this either, he felt it had to be done, in order to grow strong enough to destroy the Overlord...someday. Despite that being on his mind, when he was in position and swung, he swung a solid blow. He was unsure if this would be enough to end the poor guards misery, but he hoped it was.

Xander Morhaime:
Two of the watchmen collapsed to the ground writhing in pain from Saliak's attack, and the veterans that Aden and Tristan targeted were also badly wounded, but they at least kept on fighting.
"Traitors! Kill them!"
With a shout, the rest of the town watch joined in the battle, brandishing pitchforks and spears. They rushed towards Saliak and Aden, trying to drive them back from Ma'kirr, though their blows mostly missed their mark. Saliak felt the sting of a pitchfork grazing his side while the veterans decided to abandon their attempts at shooting and instead charge into the melee. One went for Ryltar, his blow striking true and leaving the drow seriously injured, while the other went to aid his comrade against Tristan - however, neither of them managed to land a solid hit on the paladin.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)Summary:
Saliak kills two watchmen with his breath attack.
Tristan and Aden each do 16 damage and leave their respective targets bloodied.
The watchmen strike back, only manage to hit Saliak once for 4 damage (32 remaining).
The veterans attack and miss Tristan, but hit Ryltar for 12 damage (11 remaining, bloodied).Spoiler (click to show/hide)
S.K. Ren:
The simpletons, it seems they have fallen for the trap. With the majority of the watchmen gathered together, Ma'kirr seized the opportunity to strike. Slipping into their center, she began weaving her greatspear around her body. Hitting nothing, yet she continued faster and faster, spinning it with great speed. The watchmen at first were unsure of what they were seeing as Ma'kirr was facing her 'evil' companions. But then they heard yelling from the back of the group. Turning, they saw the man rooted in place as an almost invisible force started lightly shredding at his skin.
But it didn't stay light. Soon blood started running down the mans face. His companions tried to help him but found that they too were rooted. As the invisible force began tearing at the other men, Ma'kirr began to laugh. It started quiet... subtle... but soon developed into full on hysteria. The man directly in front of her suddenly cried out "Dammit! She's one of them", but it was too late. With the exception of the man, 5 others lay heavily wounded. Before he could react, Ma'kirr struck him with her spinning greatspear rapidly, knocking him backwards.
