The priest was hit, though the damage didn't appear to be life-threatening. One of the knights saw it, however, and moved in to attack the Drow before he got a chance to do more damage, slashing at the assassin with his sword.

With a mighty swing, Tristan tries to knock the priest back.

The monk indeed staggered back... and then collapsed, bleeding all over. By the look of it, he wouldn't be getting back up. The cleric in turn sought to avenge the death of one of his order and moved in to strike at Tristan with his staff, but his blow glanced off the paladin's armour. The other knights too closed ranks, but save for one landing a blow on Aden, their attacks did rather poorly.

Dragonborn do not like being outnumbered. Then again, they know how to deal with such situations. Using a new combination of runes, Saliak attempts to balance damage, defenses and healing to the party.

The knights press inwards, surrounding the group. With a smile Ma'kirr slipped back into the center of the fray. Any attempts to pursue her we're immediately cut off as Aden filled her position. Raising the tip of her spear into the air, she began tracing a large circle. Her eyes closed, breathing slowed, all focus was directed to the tip of her spear. Faintly, if you had keen eyes, you could make out a hazy trail flowing behind the tip.
In the moment of a breath, Ma'kirr leaped up and off of Saliak and swung her spear in a great arc at the enemies below, tracing a large spiral. Though the spear could not reach, a wave of force lashed at the Knights below. Several took direct blows while others dodged by a hair's breadth. Softly landing, Ma'kirr prepared to engage teh nearest knight.

Aden had been thinking hard about what to do, going over the situation in his mind, and decides to attack. He had been thinking for a while, hopefully his swing had not been dulled.

In the close quarters melee, Ma'kirr's blows proved particularly deadly, slaying the priest and leaving most of the knights badly injured. Aden's blow also left its mark.

Seeing the slaughter, the lone remaining monk began inching away from the battle, apparently looking to escape...

Ryltar let the force of the blow he recieved push him backwards a bit and tried to shoot the running monk. Sadly the bolt flew far from it's intended target.

The knight that had previously hit Ryltar stepped after him, unwilling to let the drow cause any more harm or get away... this time, however, the drow was able to avoid the blow.

Tristan saw that the knights remained valorous, unwilling to do what would be the best for them, and surrender. And while he found no glory in it, he knew it was his duty to end them. For a briefest moment, he concentrated, marking the knight he struck before as the target for his zeal.

His sword shimmering with this odd, otherworldly teal glow, of the very same colour that emanated from him, he swung at him, immediately following with another attack, delivered via a shield bash.

Although the monk had apparently decided to withdraw from the battle, the knights still firmly held their ground, striking back at the intruders where they could and even scoring a few hits - as Aden and Tristan found out first-hand. Ma'kirr, on the other hand, managed to duck out of the way of two sword blows.

Slipping between two knights, Saliak slams his hammer into the back of one confronting Tristan. It crumples promptly with a sickening crack. The dragonborn gestures at the hole created by the twisted knight's form and nods at Ma'kirr. "If you are able to slip off and catch that monk, now would be an excellent time. We should be able to handle these with relative ease now." He then traces a bright gold rune which appears on Aden, and helps to boost the woman's defense and resistance should she attempt to catch their quarry.

"Not like I can exactly run over there..." Mak'irr began only to find Saliak's attention already occupied. The nearby knight seized this lapse in her concentration to strike but missed horribly. His sword became wedged in the grout of the floor, giving Ma'kirr a chance to slip away. Nimbly she wove her way past Saliak, keeping her distance from any other knights.
In the clear, Ma'kirr went straight for the fleeing monk. He must die!

Aden makes a few looks around to make sure that the tactical advantage is still in their favor and decides it is, for now. HE then turns his attention to the knight next to him and Ryaltar. He attempts to try and fake out the knight so he can get some damage in and give Ryltar an opening in case the knight tries to run away. Saddly, Aden misses pretty badly. He decides that simply won't do, and winds up for a real barn-burner of an attack, that hopefully would open the knight up to a follow up from the drow.

With the opening that Saliak created, Ma'kirr got a clear shot at the fleeing monk, and her attack sent him toppling over the edge of the pit the room's west wall opened up into. At least he didn't fall screaming... it was more like a long, drawn-out "Mmh!" really.

Aden's attacks, on the other hand, left the knight near the back of the group badly wounded, but still standing.
