I haven't seen that error before. It should be resolving those references via unit vlua in fpcValkyrie/src/vlua.pas

I'm not sure what's going on. It builds fine here. Using Lazarus 0.9.28.2 beta, FPC Version 2.2.4 (Lazarus Help-About).

I've got the same version. Are there other files that are needed?

No other files needed that I can recall. I wrote the src/readme just recently, after setting up the build environment for the first time.

I'm guessing you downloaded the zip of Valkyrie. That won't work. Grab the trunk version from SVN instead:

Run it in the Lazarus debugger and post any error you get.

The game definitely should not care if you run on xp or win7. There must be some other difference between the two environments.

Note: typically run with -god command-line argument for development. Without it, you must also build diabdat.mpq.

That error was fixed earlier today, update from svn and you should be good to go.
