Help moving from ITYTD to HNTR?

Just followed your advice and got to level 19 before repeated arachnotron caves wore my HP and armor down.  Your arena strategy especially was a big help.  It never occurred to me to shoot outside of your vision range.

I find it amusing ... I'm in a similar boat to the OP, but in the process I'm learning a lot of valuable experience. I've posted a list of the lessons I've learned in another thread if you're interested, take it with a grain of salt, but it's meant for other newbies, written from a newbie's perspective.
