The exact phrasing of the badge, "Clear out The Wall," would have me believe that nuking is allowed. Originally I figured that all special levels couldn't be nuked and considered completed, using Mortuary/Vaults as examples, though I was proven wrong by someone getting Lava Bronze via nuking.

Before I create too deep a tangent, let me say that there is a difference between "clear" and "complete" when it comes to badges. Whether or not that has to do with nuking I am unsure, but it wouldn't hurt to try. (I imagine you still have to survive, though.)
