 Before him 1576 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 1448 of those were killed.
 7 of those were killed by something unknown.
 21 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
 And 72 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

 Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
 Is he immortal? 28 souls claim to have killed him...
 3 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
 23 killed the bastard and survived.
 2 showed that it can outsmart hell itself.

For I have finally claimed the final platinum required... for Legend.

This run was extreemly intense. So many close calls its not even funny, 3 spider caves in a row for exsample.. However running through the first few levels like mad, only picking the needed few exps from the scattered across lesser foes, and the rare berserks I ran and ran like no tomorrow. It was till hellgate I was constantly out of armor and health, those globes and packs and the red armor came long way! A use of phase and luck was on my side as I spawned right next to the portal to hell.

Then I found onyx armor and power mod.. right next to each other.. guarded by mancubi. Well you can guess what happens next? I- no mancubi died. Cornering the mancubi and he was helpless from my fists. Onyx armor basicly saved my whole game, as now I didn't take much damage at all.

Now you might wonder about the ironman trait pick? Well I spawned in a room of spiders and leveled at like 10% hp so I picked the trait.. and it saved my life. Used my last large healthpack there.

So at the level 24 I found a berserk globe..! A pack of barons and hell knights later.. I found the exit and entered the cybie fight. Punching punching and more punching later, the cybie was down.

And a legend has risen.

I spent some time trying to adequately describe how in awe I am of this victory, but nothing really worked out. I'll just say "this is how to play the game" and move on. I mean, Christ, you didn't even nuke the Cyberdemon, you punched him out 6-7 damage at a time. Also remarkable on your list of insane killings is 22 Arachnotrons, which I can only assume are probably from you clearing entire caves of them.

I have to ask, were you trying this on UV before switching down? Going for the Strongman series in general seems to make me want to skip the intermediate steps and just aim for the Diamond (and/or that Elite Diamond) since I doubt the absolute ridiculousness of the difficulty can't steep up THAT much.  Still, I suppose the difference between +1 and +2, as well as the number of spawns, might really change things.

Well as I said, I had a lot of spider caves and that one room of them also added up a lot of those kills. Cybie isn't so bad when you have a berserk going, and neither is anything else really so yeah. Had no nukes in the whole run kinda forced the punching.
And yes I have been trying UV but honestly speaking, the start of UV with the two shotgunners is rather frustating. They ruin my run 90% of the times, you can't heal enough from the medpacks and you're ping ponged between them, exiting the level with 40% and no healthpacks doesn't really help much either.

Honestly if I go try get the Diamond, I'll rather go all nightmare and take the Demonic while at it, considering I might actually be able to exit the first stage with some health left.

The english language does not have words strong enough to fully agree with this statement. I have racked up hundreds of deaths going after the demonic diamond and only once have I made it to the Hellgate. Even that took a handful of lucky berserk packs. I still think it's possible, but the amount of luck needed may be too much to reasonably expect.

Turns out this is a blatant lie. After checking my high score list and playing a bit more it looks like once I've made it to dlevel 12 and twice I've made it to dlevel 10, pretty much where the Chained Court berserk runs out. Although to make it to the court at experience level 3 it does take some lucky berserk packs. Surprisingly the berserk bug is less of a pain here, mainly because you aren't just walking around one-shotting everything.

Indeed, I've personally gotten to level 21 with only fists on Nightmare! once, with pure luck ofcourse. And then I ran out of everything and died to a mancubi.
