You're probably suffering from a severe Alzheimer. What else can explain all these things in your backpack you've never put there?!
Every time you descend to a new level, RNG kindly provides you with a brand new inventory. Only your equipped stuff remains the same.

Barrels of water!
Not a very damaging fluid, but these are under pressure. They deal greatly reduced damage/extra knockback like rocket jumps, and have a chance to leave water like acid barrels do. They can also knockback barrels.
