Berserk Manga AMV
« on: October 30, 2006, 04:09 »

I want to share with you my favourite AMV (Anime Music Video -- actually this is a MMV), a brilliant piece of work done using scans from the Berserk manga -- if you want to get the feeling of the world presented in Berserk, it's a great opportunity. Although I must say that I'm not a fan of this music genre (I hate growling -- but somehow it suits Berserk). Here's the link on Google Video:

Post your opinions on this piece :)

I've always been intrigued by Berserk, but never got a hold of a copy.  Looks absolutely brutal! :D

I liked the video, although at times I wished it would slow down so I could see the sweet monsters.

Thanks for sharing this! The AMV is very well done and shows Berserk's bests sides if you ask me. That is, Guts berserking through monsters and Puck (the little elf/fairy in the very end) showing his -______- faces.

And the music?

Gotta love Dark Tranquillity ;)

One question - anyone knows where to fetch scanlations of the manga? (Found one site but it lacks tomes 1-3)

Bittorrent would be your best bet there, It means less drain on your servers and a faster transfer rate for those interested.

(Before anyone asks, I do not advocate the use of BT for illegal use.)

My word of warning conserning that torrent (the one containing volumes 1-30).

It has chapters copy & pasted together into one folder for each volume, and nothing has been done to their names, so there will be files named "13.jpg" and "131.jpg" and you probably now into what order these files will go. There also seemed to be chapters by different groups mixed together (I'm not sure about this, but it really seemed so, cause the fonts changed between different chapters.)

So I recommend you to get the Band of the Hawks torrent for volume 4 and onwards (or buy the kick ass quality Dark Horse translations).

Aye, I have admit that there are voulems that are a bit messed up - but so far only 13-th one was really messed up from those I've read. (Oh and "quality Dark Horse translations" aren't an option for everyone - Berserk wasn't released here in Poland, niether by Dark Horse, nor by any of our local manga releasing groups :P)

One question for more knowledgable people - why does that young with look so surpirsed while looking at Gatts sword (after he refused to take any magical items from her) - is this explained later?
