Hellraiser Silver: Defeat the Arena Master
Do we really need to add an easier Silver badge than Scavenger or Strongman?

Armorer Platinum and Diamond should be abolished; the Dragonslayer taboo deserves every scrap of mockery it receives.

It's not like these can't be meddled around with. Hellraiser Bronze could be "Locate and defeat the Arena Master" and then set Hellraiser Silver for "Defeat the Arena Master on Ultra-violence". Just seems like the Arena Master isn't getting enough love yet, but maybe it's for the best that he's a little more secluded within the game without saying "oh, by the way, you get to fight him".

My two cents: I think this badge series would be better if you had to kill *ALL* sub-boss types in one run (AM, SH, and LE). This reqires some love from RNG to find the Armory.

EDIT: Not sure if AoD should be considered since there is already a badge series directly related to killing him (Longinus)

Medals!

Rocket Rider: Killed over X enemies with an unmodded rocket launcher.
Dry Feet: Won the game without ever stepping on water, acid or lava.
Respect for the Dead: Won the game without any former humans dying.

I recently completed this self-imposed restriction in hopes of finding a hidden medal...nothing - but I think it's a neat idea:

Guerrilla Crest - Win without using armor or boots

One misplaced shot from a former sergeant and KABOOM! no more medal.

Haven't done it yet, but here's an idea:

Hectic Star
- Destroyed all barrels.

(Name taken from the secret level in Doom 64 that requires the destruction of all barrels in the Staging Area.)

The Twisted Cup - Fully cleared three cavern levels in a row (UV+).
The Twisted Chalice - Fully cleared three cavern levels in a row (UV+) while clvl 6 or lower.
The Twisted Grail - Fully cleared three arachnotron cavern levels in a row (UV+) while clvl 6 or lower.
The Twisted Keg - Fully cleared three arachnotron cavern levels in a row (UV+) while clvl 6 or lower when a combat shotgun hasn't even spawned yet.
The Twisted Tsunami - Fully cleared three arachnotron cavern levels in a row (UV+) while clvl 6 or lower when a combat shotgun hasn't even spawned yet and then go on to fully win the game.

I feel like you deserve some kind of a reward for when the RNG screws you over and you screw it right back. Technically this suggestion only comes after making it through caco>arac>arac as stated, BUT STILL.

I've had no problem with the AM on AoSh, although admittedly, I was on HNTR.

Efficiency Medal: kill 9 enemies with a single shot.
Efficiency Cross: kill 18 enemies with a single shot.

Good idea, though I'd add the qualifier "but not with the BFG 9000 or any of its assemblies".

A nice idea, but I see it being awarded one of two ways:

Waiting for monsters to crowd in the middle of a shallow barrels level and setting off a chain reaction, or

with the BFG9000, the only non-nuke weapon that could plausibly do it without help.

There aren't many things that do enough damage over a big enough area that you get at the right time for those numbers. Really, this medal cries out for masterfully crafted BFG shots. Menacing with spikes of shotgun shell and encircled with bands of red armor.

Also, is this one shot, or one attack? It seems possible, though unlikely and sort of wasteful, to overcharge a sniper-modded plasma rifle in a long hallway full of 18 formers... if that's even possible in anyone's lifetime.

Maybe instead of 'one shot' it could be a sort of chain system, at least one kill each x seconds/turns, though then of course there's the problem of certain builds getting it on accident on a normal run.

I guess I'm the only one who thought that a quick trip to the City of Skulls would get you these rather easily.

It's not like medals (secret or otherwise) have to be hard, either. Is Aurora Medallion hard? Gutts' Heart? Is Hell Champion Medal, or Hell Armorer Medal, or Grim Reaper's Badge hard? There are plenty of medals you get without even thinking of it, it's okay to have medals on the easy side that make players feel empowered.

There, fixed it for you.  But I agree -- medals are to commerate in-game events, and not all in-game events have to be RNG-awfully hard to figure out.

It would still be pretty tricky to hit 18 kills in one shot in the City of Skulls without the BFG.

But yeah. Lower the numbers, allow the BFG, or just attach it to the City if it's the only reasonable place to even begin to try and get the possible badge.
