A traditional dungeon crawl by you would be sweet!

And yeah, just to save myself the energy of asking you the same question over and over again, I'm basically down to do tiles for any of your games that you'd like to have graphical versions for.  Just let me know, man!

Would be especially nice to work on something that didn't have to be based on another artist's work. :)

Hopefully not too off topic, but what does "tripped on my foot" mean? I don't believe I've ever heard that expression before.

Nah, it's just my bad English, and some literal Polish saying translations :-P.

I think that DiabloRL is the least interesting of all your projects. Please, work on it only after everything else has been finished. ;)

I have to agree... I'd much rather see you work on an original property, like your traditional dungeon crawl.  Diablo is already so close to being a roguelike, too, isn't it?

I will have to wait for Malek to spank you for that heresy :D. And seriously tough, you've got a point.

As for "other projects" they are not limited to roguelikes. I may post a seperate poll on that. And even if I'd work on a "traditional dungeon crawl" it wouldn't be so traditional. Especialy in the cases of Magic... I might elaborate on that if anyone's interested...

P.S. Welcome Peetaa to the forums -- you've came at a good time, any day now DoomRL 0.9.8.5 will be released ;].

I am offcourse eager for you to continue work on DoomRL, it is one of the best roguelike game today imo.

But since you say you need to take a break, just go for whatever crazy idea you have :) I would love to see that game/engine you were working on with multiple heights on the same map though (was that GenRogue or Carceri?)

The engine was Carceri, but it didn't have multiple heights. The one with the multiple heights was GenRogue :).

My suggestion is to polish Berserk. It probably won't take long, at least if you don't add a campaign mode to 0.8, and would therefore work as a nice breather.

Defying Malek and the followers of Diablo, I agree with Peeta... better work on something cooler than DiabloRL ;)

And yes, ellaborate on the Magic stuff ;)

@Turgor, dunno if you know but crl has multiple heights, just in case you want to look

I'm definitly interested in hearing more about the magic stuff. And I never thought that it was going to be a "traditional dungeon crawl" in that it was a direct copy of ADOM or Crawl or Nethack or something. Rather my interest was in, given a traditional game format, what odd or unique twists you would give it. Also I'm interested in seeing the kind of setting\story\atmosphere you can create yourself (which is not to knock the games based on the story\setting\atmosphere from another source, because there all encredibly cool :) )

Calm yourself!  They can still be saved!

Personally, DiabloRL is what's exciting me the most, but any choice you make'll be a good one.
