Before him 1664 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
1500 of those were killed.
19 of those were killed by something unknown.

And 51 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.
Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 37 souls claim to have killed him...

This mortem is brought to you by, the Blaster. The run started normal, got lucky with Hell's Arena on level 3, so I had dualgunner. I cleared it pretty easily (I think it only took a small medpack or two). Right around dlevel 10 or 11 is when I found the Blaster. Once I realized it shot through walls I started hoping to see the Wall (actually the Vault too, but I changed my mind by then). As luck would have it, the Wall is generated. I shot a single line through the wall and that was enough to clear the level without taking any damage. Shortly after that I make to the Hellgate. I grabbed what I needed from the first room and was about to use a phase, when I realized shooting through the wall was a better idea. I dig around a bit and kill both archviles. At that point I just let the wall fall and cleaned up the rest of the first room. The bruiser brothers went down easily, mainly because at this point I have a P1 pistol, P1 Blaster, SoGx3, SoBx3 and a level or two of Finese. I realized at that point I might have a good chance at a full win.
I already had two homing devices, giving me more of a chance that I'd find a use-able invulnerability. I still needed a nuke though. I had considered going to the Mortuary for one, but I got lucky the Spider Caves was generated.
Things are going smoothly, then I find an invulnerability close the entrance the Spider Caves. I grab it and run in. I didn't even bother seeking cover, I just sat in the middle of the room picking off arachnatrons. I grab the rewards and am getting pretty hopeful. I clear a few more levels and find a third homing phase device. I make it to hell level 7, only three more stairs to go. That's when I found the invulnerability. Now up until this point I have 100% kills, but I decided not to be greedy so I grab the globe and pop all three homing phase devices. I've made it to the Cyberdemon...
Which I promptly nuked and proceeded down. It'd been a while since I'd seen JC, so I was a little out of practice for the battle. Luckily I showed up with three phases and about eight large medpacks. Actually the real lucky part was that by then I had grabbed dodgemaster, which I had completely forgotten the importance of. I get JC down to wounded, but had to use a phase device. I end up on the right side of the screen, then magically remember that I should be using dodgemaster to avoid rockets to the face. That bit of information was what I needed to finish the fight, with a medpack to spare no less.
This will probably be my last run of 0.9.9.1, but I think it was a fitting end to the version. Also this run has convinced me SoBx3 is better then MGK, even though I had the Blaster to cut down on reloading I still think I would have been okay without it. Maybe not as easy or a full win, but the damage/knockback is too much to pass up, even for free reloading.
