Assault shotgun on level 2?  Yes please!  :)  That was my lucky find this game, a godsend in any Angel of Shotgunnery game.  I also must confess to emitting an evil laugh when I found the jackhammer.  :D

By level 23, I was in good shape, with over 200 shells and three large med-packs and confident enough to take on the lava pits.  My strategy against the lava elemental probably would've been different if I had realized that he REGENERATES HIS HITPOINTS!  :o  Well, 100 shells, all my armour, all my med-packs, all my envirosuits and all of my plasteel boots later, I got him down to severely wounded and was forced to retreat back to the stairs because I was down to 15% health.  He must have more hitpoints at Ultraviolence, because I never had this much trouble defeating him before.  :(

Would've made a nice YAFW/YAAM otherwise.

Yeah, Shamblers, Lava Elementals, Cybies and Arena Master have scaled HP based on level. And Shotgunning without MAD a regenerating armored enemy doesn't help neither :P

Yeah, I didn't bother with MAD, because the assault shotgun reloads so quickly that there didn't seem to be any point in getting reloader and shottyman.  Oh well, live and learn I guess.  :)
