EDIT: Oh and DoomRL is an actively developing game at the moment so it will not take AGES until the new version is out either.

EDIT: Well then, to answer OP's question, yes there will *ever* be a new version. But probably not soon, cause afaik the main focus is on DoomRL at the moment.

AliensRL isn't dead yet. I think it's got the most potential out of all of the Roguelikes here, actually. But DoomRL is much easier to play in its current state. :)

If you're interested in a new beta, feel free to give us some ideas of what you'd like to see in it. It will help the creative juices flowing.
